Business Development Executive

Compensation: $52k annually + commission

A multi-media digital publisher is seeking a Business Development Executive to help maintain and expand specific client/sponsors while growing our Feed Network. The Business Development Executive will be charged with acquiring new business partners to the feed network.

The Feed Network is a digital ad platform that consists of over 2,000 premium publisher partners and generates over one billion impressions per month. Advertisers interact with a RTB platform to launch campaigns and target their selected audience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective advertising partners, recruiting them to join the network and provide ongoing account management. This position provides high earning potential for candidates looking to build a career in a rapidly growing industry. We are looking for a self-starter who can manage the proposal process, budget and pricing development, contract negotiations and presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate placement of the News Feed on various publisher websites for free or pay

  • Continually build and grow a book of national publisher clients in target categories including finance, health and politics

  • Identify, qualify, obtain and service long-term business relationships

  • Work collaboratively in a consultative role with business and editorial decision makers to identify the best cost and placement of the news feed on each publisher’s website

  • Work collaboratively with BD Coordinators and support personnel

  • Utilize company CRM tool to track all sales activities and communications

  • Manage and maintain sales reports, pipelines and forecasts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a marketing or business development-related position required

  • Strong knowledge of client development and marketing principles

  • Proven ability and desire to interface with clients both remotely and face to face to provide timely, consistent and accurate support and account management

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks simultaneously

  • Strong analytical & math skills

  • Ability to proactively influence and work with high profile clients independently and within a team environment.

  • Insatiable desire to learn and ability to adapt to changing routines and software

  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
